OUR MATERIALS

Sugarcane Fiber (Bagasse)

Sugarfiber™ is a Harvest Pack exclusive sugarcane fiber series. The material is derived from residual fibers left from sugar production, commonly known as bagasse. Our Sugarfiber™ products are BPI certified and have a natural look with a sturdy paper-like texture. We recommend the products to be stored at room temperature or between 60-73°F, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. They are microwave safe and have a temperature resistance of 200°F for up to 20 minutes. They are environmentally friendly and compostable, unlike their Styrofoam or plastic counterparts.

Sugarfiber™ can be used with hot or cold foods. It is not recommended for serving soup-based contents, foods with high moisture, and/or foods with high oil content. Most containers do not have a water-resistant coating. Please look for Sugarfiber™ products that have PLA coating for water and oil resistance.

Caution: Hot food and food with high moisture content may cause condensation to form at the bottom of the base. PLA coated products are not microwavable.

Sugarfiber™ bagasse products are commercially compostable only. Facilities may not exist in your area.

Paper & Kraft

Our paper products are sustainably sourced and come in white and Kraft color. We also offer them in fun graphics and color prints using food-grade ink. Paper products are completely compostable which helps us go towards a green and healthier world. Recycled Kraft paper materials are also non-toxic. The use of paper is also a safer substitute for plastic or Styrofoam.

PLA/CPLA

Polylactic Acid, PLA is a biopolymer that is derived from the sugar in cornstarch. That makes this bioplastic 100% biodegradable, compostable, and renewable. PLA products are freezer safe and heat-sensitive up to 104°F. They can be used as a water resistant coating in disposable cups and food containers. PLA and CPLA are also used to make straws and utensils. CPLA is the crystallized form of PLA which has a higher temperature resistance up to 185°F and is microwave safe. Our PLA/CPLA products are all BPI certified.

PET/RPET Plastic

RPET stands for Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate. It is created by recycling PET that was previously used as packaging materials. This material is refined into flakes then heated to a high temperature and molded to turn into new products. RPET is 100% reusable and highly sustainable. RPET is optically clear and used in a variety of our lids and cold cups. Using RPET as an alternative is a huge step forward on the path towards a greener, safer and cleaner future.

PET products have a low heat tolerance between 40-90°F. They are not microwave safe. Please remove PET lids before microwaving.

PP Plastic

Polypropylene, PP is a thermoplastic polymer and is one of the most widely used ingredients in packaging. It is flexible, lightweight, and 100% reusable. Our PP products are non-toxic, non-absorbent, and microwaveable. They have a high temperature resistance of 180°F.
